Why 13?
It’s only by accident, I wanted to make a top 10 list, but I just couldn’t miss any font that I like.
Text content is the biggest part of an informative website, so it’s particularly important to choose the perfect font and textual layout.

I miss information on the licenses and authors for each font. I strongly advise against using these fonts anywhere unless their origin and license is clear or you may get into serious legal and financial trouble. A permission to use the fonts (even for commercial purpose) is insufficient if you are going to embed them by CSS (you are redistributing them in that case).
I wish there would be some statement that these fonts are licensed under Creative Commons but even then I would like to know the origin of these fonts before using them.
In my opinion, these fonts look too professional to be free – usage or distribution of unlicensed fonts is very expensive (it’s the same as software piracy).
The personal, non-commercial use of these fonts is free.
