outlineStyle style property

Specifies or returns the style for an element's outline.
The outline is similar to the border of an element, but it is not part of the element's dimensions, and it is displayed around the margin of the element. Therefore the element's width and height properties do not contain the width of the outline.
Note: The outlineStyle property is supported in Internet Explorer from version 8.

Syntax:

object.outlineStyle;

Possible values:

The type of this property is string.
 One of the following values: 
-moz-bg-inset
The outline looks as though it were embedded in the canvas.
-moz-bg-outset
The outline looks as though it were coming out of the canvas.
-moz-bg-solid
A solid line is drawn.
dashed
A series of short line segments is drawn.
dotted
A series of dots is drawn.
double
A double line outline.
groove
The outline looks as if it has been carved into the background.
hidden
Turns the outline off.
inherit
Takes the value of this property from the computed style of the parent element.
inset
The outline looks as though it were embedded in the canvas.
none
Default. Outline width is null.
outset
The outline looks as though it were coming out of the canvas.
ridge
The outline looks as if it's protruding out of the background.
solid
A solid line is drawn.
window-inset
The outline looks as though it were embedded in the canvas with an additional single line.
Default: none.
